奥运刚刚过去，中国人重新开始他们繁忙的设计和建造工作。据 baunetz 报道，gmp 汉堡分部赢得了中国西部重镇西安的会展中心竞标。

该中心面积为43500平方米，为中国西部最大的会展中心。其中的会议中心可以同时容纳2000人。多功能大厅和展示区有大约3500个位置，可以配合旁边的展览馆作为扩展空间使用。

这个建筑通过巨大的透明曲型屋面结构来实现建筑形态。由于使用了大量玻璃材质，可以从任何位置观察内部结构。白天它在日光的照耀下显得特别通透，而夜晚则通过透明的材质向外发光，成为一个新的城市焦点。

通过大曲面屋顶而形成的不同高度的室内空间。可以为不同的功能提供合适的高度。
