这个巨大的海螺浮在奥地利格拉兹的Mur河中央，2003年由纽约建筑师 Vito Acconci 设计。这个项目是当年欧洲文化之都系列之一，创意上很有悉尼歌剧院的象形方式。它的玻璃壳很好的融入环境，当夜晚灯光亮起时，大海螺有如水上明珠华丽无比。

看上去它很像一个水下建筑，其实并非如此。它是一个浮体，以类似锚的方式固定在水面，以两条步行桥连接到它的水上平台，包括露天剧场、咖啡吧和游戏场等功能。贝壳一般的外形是由两个碗状钢架构成，一个朝上一个朝下。正反两个碗以斜坡衔接，形成迷宫一般的过渡空间，里面有攀爬滑行等儿童娱乐设施；斜坡下面是洗手间、吧台、厨房等服务空间。
