Battersea 电站从上世纪30年代修建后一直运行到1983年，如今英国政府打算将其复兴，作为最先进的可持续发展项目来进行。重建后的 Battersea 包含800w平方尺的住宅和零售、旅馆、办公以及休闲、文化和餐饮等内容，这将是伦敦最大的发展项目。

Rafael Viñoly 发布了该项目的主要效果图。将让人敬畏的电站改造为大型居住综合体，除了功能上的细枝末节外形态上的处理至关重要。新的方案去掉了受伦敦市长质疑的300米玻璃烟囱和大厅，而这个生态大地标本来被设想为巨型的太阳能通风系统，热空气会通过中央的玻璃塔快速排除从而保持底层的阴凉空气。

  3. 先哭~终于更新了~其次~这次改造没有更多的改变其建筑的特征~保留了一些作为原建筑区域的纪念性。
